Supply a Cop with IFAK
HERO provides training to the men and women on the front lines fighting terrorism fueled by the unprecedented gang crisis in Haiti. Help us keep these police officers alive by donating Stop the Bleed equipment they carry on their uniform. The M-FAK, North American Rescue's Mini First Aid Kit, was designed to be the most compact, multi-use IFAK for delivering immediate critical care for penetrating, blast or other traumatic injuries. A gift of $58.99 covers the cost of 1 kit for 1 cop.
Support Disaster Response
Disaster strikes Haiti often. From earthquakes to hurricanes, fires and man-made crisis, the small island nation sees more than its fair share of major damages. When a major incident occurs, HERO steps in to help provide emergency medical services, search and rescue, logistical support and after-care medical management. Read the letter of recognition from the US Coast Guard in reference to our efforts in one of the many disasters we've worked. Disaster Response is expensive. We spend on average $2,000-$5,000 per day for an average of 2 weeks during a major crisis. These funds go directly to medical supplies, fuel, communications, shelter, medical bills and after-care support of patients (which tends to continue months after the incident is gone from the news). Please donate so we can have a running start when the next incident occurs.
New Trauma Center
In response to overwhelming and urgent demand for a fully capable international standard Level II Trauma center in Port-au-Prince, HERO is working fast to build Sierra Medical Center in Berthe -Petionville, Haiti. The facility will provide 24/7 comprehensive medical care to victims of trauma, including emergency medical services, advanced diagnostics, surgical care, and post-operative care. The trauma center will be staffed by a team of experienced medical professionals from Haiti and abroad. The center will be equipped with the latest medical technology and will be able to provide a wide range of services to its patients.
There are multiple ways to support this program. By donating, you are helping to finish construction and pay for the creation of the center itself, and we also seek donations in-kind such as medical equipment, and supplies. Additionally, we have created an Amazon List for supporters to choose items they want to gift to the hospital (all purchases will be automatically sent from Amazon to our center in Haiti!).
Charity 911 Services
Support our daily EMS work in Haiti by donating to cover the cost of a charity ground or air transport medical emergency case. Donations help us pay the rising cost of ambulance and aircraft fuel, medical supplies, local medical staff salaries and medications. Your support enables HERO to continue serving those who cannot afford any sort of insurance or private medical care. On average annually, HERO donates the value of $100.000 in charity flights and transports to the citizens of Haiti with no ability to pay. Pease, help us continue to be able to keep saying "YES" when we get a call begging for help.
